Sow it up is part of the Women's Ministry at
University Park Church. Under the leadership of Andrea
Ball, Sow it UP supports our community.
The function
of this group is to reach out by supporting and promoting ministries
that bring women together to serve the community. These ministries
will include prayer and encouragement while God’s love is shared.
To reach in, we will support and promote ministries that provide
fellowship and teaching for the mutual edification of women in the
body. We will offer all our plans to the Lord including prayer and
praise at all events and meetings.
This is a monthly Saturday
morning gathering open to all women and girls. It is a time to
teach and learn skills like sewing, crocheting, knitting etc.
Useful projects will be completed and donated to local hospitals or
to any known need. This is meant to be a time of fellowship,
teaching, and usefulness all to glorify the Lord and benefit our
community.
-
We have made quillows
and sent them back to a church in Louisiana for Katrina
refugees.

We have made heart
pillows for Loma Linda heart patients.
-
We have made baby
blankets for Loma Linda Hospital.
-
We are making hooded
towels for babies that will be given to young mothers at the
Choices Highland Clinic.
Not only do we work but,
also have classes. Past classes include: quilt making, jewelry
making, and scrap booking and there are more to come.
