As the ideas of the world war against biblical truth, Christian students need to be taught the skills that will enable them to discern what is true and respond appropriately.  Using substantial subject matter, this course develops the ability to break down the content of brief written articles and draw out the ideas they contain in order to evaluate their validity.  After understanding the theme of the articles, the students then practice framing a response to thought provoking questions and work on essay writing skills.

The class normally meets on the first and third Sunday of each month from 6:30-8:30 pm.  All work is completed within the class time.  Although the course is designed for high school students, college students and adults are welcome to participate. This series of classes is sponsored by and held at UPC.

• Understanding the Bible

• A Study of Government

• Understanding Christian Doctrine

• A Study of Influential Ideas
